The impact factor or journal impact factor of an academic journal is a scientometric index calculated by Clarivate that reflects the yearly mean number of citations of articles published in the last two years in a given journal, as indexed by Clarivate's Web of Science.
Impact Factor is used to evaluate the imortance of a journal within its field. Impact Factors are published annually by Clarivate in the Web of Science Journal Citation Reports (JCR).
The latest impact factor list was related on 31th june, 2021. Only the SSCI and SCIE journals are allowed to recieve impact factors.
